New festival chairman for 2012 - Kathy Barrick will be taking over the duties of festival chairman this year. Anne-Marie has been chairman for the last nine years. She has worked hard for many years, on her own and with Tina as her second-in-command for the last few years. We are thrilled to have Kathy head the festival, she is a wonderful spinner, has owned many fiber animals and is knowledgeable and has the ability to take care of all the details that go into the running of this festival. Thank you, thank you to Annie and Tina for all the years of work, and welcome to Kathy as the next festival chairman!
Special Awards Winners 2011 - The list of the winners of our special awards is now posted in a link on the S&G page. Congratulations to all the winners! There was an amazing display of talent this year, and it made a fantastic display for all the fairgoers to see.
Skein & Garment Competition - The list of winners for this year's skein & garment competition is now posted! There were 45 skeins and 48 garments entered this year, with some amazing displays of talent in both categories. The Ladies Hall is a great place for the skein & garment display and it looked wonderful again this year. Make sure to check out the winner's lists on the Skein & Garment page.
Coming soon - Fleece Competition Winners - Now that the Skein & Garment is posted, your webmistress will work on the fleece competition winner's list. There was a very nice turnout of fleeces again and we are becoming well-known as a festival for the high quality of our fleece sale. Next year, we will add goat fiber to the fleece competition. More ribbons to win, and more choice of fiber for fairgoers, too.
Lost and Found - We have a few items that were given to our lost and found- a pink sweatshirt, a pair of glasses and a bracelet. If you lost any of these items, please contact Tina.
