Local Guilds and Associations

There are several local guilds and associations who come out to our festival every year with lots of information about their organizations and what they do. Many of them have hands-on displays that you can try, for instance, the Genesee Country Lace Guild always has a pillow of bobbin lace set up for anyone to try - adults or children. These groups are happy to show you about their specific interests and let you try them yourself wherever possible. We hope you'll save some time out to see all the displays and talk with everyone.

Don't miss walking through this building, a lot of interesting things will be going on all day, both days. New for this year - there will be a display with Finn Sheep, a wonderful sheep good for both meat and fiber. The fiber is a medium wool (50's) and has a nice luster, good for all sorts of things - hats, scarves, sweaters, etc. If you haven't heard of this breed, make sure to stop by and see them!
