Skein & Garment Competition

Wendy Caffee and Mary Anne Young are in charge of our Skein & Garment Competition; contact them if you have questions regarding the competition.

Now posted are the 2011 Skein and Garment winners. We had a really nice turnout this year, but not all the categories had entries. Entering competitions is a great way to expand your skills and get feedback from a judge on how to make your spinning even better. Next year, think about spinning a skein in an area you have never tried. It's a great chance to win ribbons and prizes along with bettering yourself at your craft.

This year's display was AWESOME. Thanks to Mary Anne and Wendy for making such a wonderful display. There were some absolutely gorgeous pieces entered this year and Wendy and Mary Anne did a fantastic job of setting them all out to their best advantage. As always, we are proud of our skein & garment competition. There are so many highly skilled handworkers who enter, it is an amazing display of talent far better than other festivals our size and equal to many larger ones. Thanks to everyone who entered!
